Hamburger Helper

My white trash 90s childhood was all Kool-Aid, Tang, Little Debbie and Hamburger Helper. Don't miss it (much), but whatever happened to common middle America meal of Sloppy Joes?

People learned healthier ways of eating I guess. Not to mention that we here in BC aren’t in “middle America” and we’ve tended towards a healthier lifestyle than many other geographic regions for a long, long time. By the way, that term “white trash” implies that “regular” trash isn’t white. I hate that expression, and I’m as white as it’s possible to be.

Remember The Pop Shop? We would go on a trip to the White spot as a treat for a rectangular shaped Hamburger. They were the worst of time, they were the worst of times… It's hard to be nostalgic about working class Canadian life.

White trash does not imply that all other trash isn't white you reckless goof, idiot.

White trash is an acknowledgement by white people that a large proportion of white people are the lowest form of racist, dumb, homophobic douchebags on Earth.

Something any intelligent white person takes as fact. I do.

If you research this you will find that I’m right. This was common discussion back in the 1960’s and 70’s as a matter of fact. The very fact that the word “white” had to be added as a form of clarification to the term “trash” was because of the racism in the southern states, with the assumption being that people who were called trash were usually black, so they had to add the white part to further categorize it. Look it up, it’s easy to find.
