On hundred percent. I went to school with a guy who turned out to be a God-fearing Christian. He wasn’t always that bad. He used to be a very humble, friendly kid back when we first met in elementary school. But then his parents bought him up to be self, righteous, condescending, and incredibly stoic. He became homophobic and couldn’t keep his views to himself so he lost a lot of friends. Last I heard, he moved to the Okanagan. Lots of homophobic people live there. That and Mission. That’s where the whole Bible Belt is.
