I'm worried I will become a dog parent

I hate it how people have dogs instead of kids. I see that coming into my life shortly though. I've given up on dating, but I love animals and need to show affection somehow. Single male life today. If only I was rich and owned a house. That's all that seems to matter to people in Vancouver. Oddly enough, I'd rather splurge for a nice place for an animal that doesn't size me up that way. Yes, animals are better than people in many ways. They don't have that shallowness to them. Oh well, at least I have more money than an arts major ever will. Ironically, they demand perfection.

Leave.

You'll never make it in Canada unless it's a tiny town on the Prairies or way up north.

Judgmental, misogynistic. Lots of issues happening here. Try getting more hobbies so you have less time to judge others. What about people who can't have children of their own? Stop before you assume. And no I don't have pets or kids because I'm still in school

It’s an impossible situation living in Vancouver and I’m thinking it’s at a breaking point. Having a dog sounds nice and there’s nothing wrong with needing something to nurture. Money and resources are topics that bleed into the majority of conversations these days, which is kind of gross. My mom was pissed off at me for going on vacation and spending money. My friends husband was pitying me for living in a condo, while they own two houses. Money is an ugly subject, and lately everyone is really pushed to their limits and with a lot less choice in how we want to live.

My God, that was a stupid post. Maybe if you took a few classes, your thinking wouldn't be so muddled, and bizarre.

Well look at it this way you will have better luck finding an apartment in Vancouver with a pet than a child. Can you imagine that ?

Possibly…

Has it occurred to you that the reason you think “everyone” in Vancouver is only interested in a guy who owns a house and is rich, is due to the people you’re meeting? For instance, if you’re on dating sites and the people you’re connecting with all seem to want the same thing, it’s likely got a lot to do with the type of people you’re actually attracted to. Keeping in mind that the common denominator is you, maybe you’re approaching the wrong people. If you want to meet real people that you can connect with on a genuine level, why not try something different? Obviously what you’ve been doing isn’t working for you. As for the dog thing, there’s nothing wrong with having pets for companionship at all. They’re wonderful and can improve your quality of life a lot of you’re lonely.

Why is everyone so lonley ?
My god there is almost 9 billion people on this planet. Maybe people are just too picky or scared of putting themselves out there in the real world. Online my friends is just a muted reality of the truth. Get outside be friendly say morning or hello or something. Just bloody try what have you got to loose? Your little pride . Shit !
