Old man

Ever had a night where you're hanging out with people who are 10 to 15 years younger then you and you thinking "I should be at home with a wife and kids. I've really screwed things up. It's too late now, what the hell am I doing, how did I get here?" The whole night I'm just desperately trying to hide the fact that I'm too old to be there. Talking to women that are way too young for me, wanting to ask "do you have a single aunt? I really shouldn't be talking to you, I'm so sorry but I'm a desperate loser who is very lost in life."

Hmmm, not sure your age but it's not too late to find a wife! Maybe too late to have kids depending on your age, but certainly not too late to find someone closer to your age, if that is what you really want.

Dr. Real

This is someone pretending to be the other person that they probably seen with their family at this gathering & instead of asking them directly like an adult. They just simply start assuming that they are entitled to tell others how to live their life.
P.s. I didn't attend because of such poor behavior like such.

projecting

you project a lot of negative around a common stereotype. Old men are people too. Judging them horribly and in one direction is your own issue.

So long as they are willing to talk to you, you're doing just fine.

No need to micro manage yourself to the asylum here.

Life after 40.

I've noticed outside of Canada, there's life after 40. People are allowed to go out and enjoy themselves and there are fewer hangups. Canadian have been socialized to be wildly dull and feel guilt and shame if they try to enjoy themselves, when they become middle-aged.

Maybe if you're single, go to Latin America or Continental Europe and deprogram yourself from all this bland dullness? Maybe you will meet a cool Euro, or Latin woman who enjoys something other than doing yoga, and watching TV?

Life is for living.

Nah, not me

I'm way too busy having fun with women half my age while not having to worry about all the twisted sick dangers this world has to offer any children I might have had if I were a little bit dumber.

Not buying this

I think this is another one of those posts written by someone who’s trying to say something negative about another person. Although that situation describes the way a lot of people feel when they see some older guy in a bar hitting on much younger women. It does seem somewhat pathetic. If the Op genuinely is this guy however, there are other ways to meet women your own age if that’s really what you want. Generally we’re not hanging out in bars.

10-15 years? Like they are 25, you are, what, 40? I'm 39 and get plenty of attention from women in their twenties. I'd say that is normal. But you probably should be more focused on the wife and kids...

I've come to figure out that the body ages but the mind stays pretty much the same from adolescent to adulthood into your senior years. I mean your learn and grow thru life experiences but your escence, the core being of who you are stays the same.
It's like life's little joke.
Not funny huh :)

Go get it

You can change the course - go get what you want! If you don’t make that change you’ll never find out.
I hope you find your person ❤️
