Work on that s***!

Have you ever noticed how people’s weird behaviour gets progressively weirder the older they get? I recently ran into a friend I haven’t seen in a few years and we decided to get together for lunch. She always had some weird and annoying idiosyncrasies, and that was one of the reasons why we stopped hanging out in the past. During our get together it became clear that not only had she not done any work on her behaviour, it was worse than ever. Like obsessing over minor stuff that most of us just shrug off, being really controlling about where we parked, etc. Just generally annoying habits that are really off-putting. So we probably won’t be getting together again much and that’s sad because there’s a lot of good things about her that I like. But all I remember from before is that her behaviour was just so irritating that it overshadowed the good things and made me not want to be around her anymore. So people, work on that s*** while you’re young! Don’t let your obsessions become so annoying (like people who announce their diet preferences to the world and talk about them incessantly for example) that no one wants to hang out with you when you’re older.

This whole Wurly World is obviously entering an increasingly challenging frequency pattern. The ancient Vedics knew Galactic quantum energy info that nowadays the new space telescopes combined with Einstein-ion science is just now scratching the surface of. So, WHATEVER, hope you are having a positive day.

I recognize in both your description of this person’s behaviour and your confession itself an overthinking, scrutinizing, emotional dumping, nitpicking vibe that is likely rooted in anxiety.

Perhaps there are some aspects about this person that are present within you too and have been shown to you through mirroring so that you can identify them within yourself and heal them compassionately?

What makes you think this person needs you in her life? What makes you care so much about and feel the need to control her "annoying" behaviour that you need to not only drop her from your life but also write a judgmental PSA about it?

That’s an interesting take on it, but I don’t agree. I’m an easy going person who understands that everyone has their own idiosyncrasies. I’m talking specifically about the type of eccentric behaviours of some people that make being with them stressful. People who are very controlling for example. Where everything becomes an issue. They can’t eat here because of such and such, they can only park in certain spots, etc. They have rules for everything and they obsess about a lot of things. I’ve known this particular person for a long time and they just get progressively worse every year. To the point where they have almost zero friends. Being with them can be draining because it’s all about their needs and preferences every time. So what I’m saying is that if you’re not able to honestly look at your own behaviour and try to see it from another perspective, you might find yourself being alone more than you’d like.

I guess a good thing to keep in mind in that case is that we can't control the behaviour of others. We can only control the extent to which we interact with that person, ruminate on their idiosyncrasies, and place value judgments on their way of being.

How about

being a good friend and telling her this. She won't realize it on her own. People need other people to explain these things to them, understand?

I bet your wishing you didn't just accidentally bump in to this person from your past and decide to have lunch with them now huh ?
Bahaha
Bad on you:)
Btw it's not old age, cause people really don't change that much you just have less tolerance as a human being, apparently.
I hope you went Dutch on lunch:0
