Worse than speaker phone…

…is when people take a call in their car as they’re parked, and instead of switching it to the phone, they leave it on Bluetooth through the car speakers. I so love having to listen to your entire conversation conversation at full blast as you sit outside my place while I’m trying to work from home. Even better when you do it late at night when I and the rest of the building occupants are trying to sleep. Just lovely. So considerate of you.

Leave a note on their windshield to let them know that you are recording their calls. See if that works.

There is no "FIRST" world. There is the OLD world (Europe and the near east), the NEW world (North & South America and Australia), and the THIRD world (Asia, Africa, and Haiti).

It's an informal term, to describe a usually minor or trivial problem or annoyance experienced by people in relatively affluent or privileged circumstances, especially as contrasted with problems of greater social significance facing people in poor and underdeveloped parts of the world, you pompous bore.

We know what it means. But it’s a dumb concept. As if everyone in Vancouver is affluent. As if the only people allowed to talk about things that bother them have to be in absolutely terrible situations. Wake up. Lots of people in Vancouver are suffering for all kinds of reasons. It’s not a “who’s got it worse” contest. Everyone has a right to express their frustration about things that affect them. So get off your high horse.
