Damned evangelicals

Drove home yesterday to find one of the four stop intersections in our neighbourhood was loaded with evangelical people on all four corners with pre-made signs about Jesus Saves and other ridiculous sayings trying to convert people to their religion. First off they were a dangerous distraction to drivers, secondly, you don't convert people that way (the vast majority will never be change nor do they want to) and lastly why are they so arrogant as to think their 'street ministry' will get them more members and extra points with their 'saviour' or church?? Soooo stupid. What if atheists or satanists tried the same thing to convert THEM to another way of thinking? wow. SO offensive. We don't need our souls saved!! It's ok to be Christian but for heaven's sake?! or for Christ's sake (ironic)?! STOP!!! Put your useless and obnoxious efforts into something more productive - like volunteering for a food bank or raising money for the homeless. Quit trying to impose your beliefs on others!!!

You only have to read the bible, and you will become an atheist. The bible is full of contradictions and crazy, strange and even absurd stories like God sends two bears to rip up 42 little children for making fun of Elisha’s bald head. The Lord provided a huge fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights. God was angry because “the earth was filled with violence.” So he killed every living thing to make the world less violent. Lot’s daughters get him drunk and then have sex with him and get impregnated so that they will preserve the family line. God divides the sea with a blast of his nostrils. Jesus fed 5000 men (plus women and children) with five loaves and two fishes (with 12 baskets left over)

I could go on and on. Look into it. It's really no different from the ranting of a schizophrenic, but somehow millions believe that insanity.

Those with supposed know-it-all arrogant mentality if they have read the fine print in the book? ie. Corinthians. 13:12 "All of you see through a clouded obscured lens" ... "all of you are like sheep who have forgotten the voice of the shepherd ... but those who overcome will find everliving life" ... "It's all about love, faith, hope and charity and of these, Love is the greatest.

Once upon a time the dominant local religion of Vancouver was overwhelmingly Christian.

Now that this is in decline, certain low characters emerge to trash it.

Parishioners are dying and not enough young people are filling in.
They give a fuck about religion as much as you do,they need money to keep the church coffers full and to keep the church from closing down.

What happened to tolerance and the ability to accept people no matter what their beliefs. I just hate it when they are so blinded by their own manufactured ecstacy they lose sight of the here and now. Good deeds and good faith are the order of the day not trashy freaky revival tent action.

The book itself makes no sense and it was written by man so that explains everything.
I do however believe in a higher power and love and miracles cause they happen everyday somewhere. Things you can't explain that blow your mind.

That when you tell them you go to a church that's not to thier liking (such as mainstream Anglican or United or Lutheran or Unitarian etc) they with say "what kind of church is that" or "what do they believe?" As if they are trying a "gotcha" thing on you.
