You can always age with self-respect and dignity? I find it easier growing older in Europe, people in North America are terrified of being irrelevant, so they always try to remain young. I think it's internalized capitalism, they have to remain competitive and always buy the latest cars, etc… Europeans work to retire and enjoy life, not own things. That's why you see the enormous protests in France. They want to retire asap.
