River runs through me

I confess I'm desperately lonely even though I'm surrounded by people. Is this truly common in Vancouver and if so, how have you combatted it? I have coworkers, a family, a church community, kind neighbours and people I think of as acquaintances, but the reality is I don't feel much of a connection with any of them. What's wrong with me? I long for meaningful friendships with all of my heart.

It has its own Wiki entry:

A coworker from the Balkans describes Vancouver as "fake nice". Everyone else from South Asia, Eastern Europe and Latin America agrees.
The French think it's just fine, though, as does the "local product".
It's not you. It's the "culture".

lived in families and villages where people cooperated and took care of each other. But this planet's people have moved towards more and more 'divide and conquered' isolated timeZ. Intentional co-op living is the way to go.

There's nothing wrong with you, Vancouver is a shallow city.
