Mind blowing

I can’t wrap my brain around it. I’ve tried really hard to understand how their mind works but it’s a mystery to me. How someone can act so badly and treat another person like they’re invisible or don’t matter at all and then turn around and act like nothing changed. Like nothing that was said was said, and nothing that was done was done. It’s almost as if they’re psychotic or something how convincing they are . Like they just completely ignore anything they don’t want and carry on like they don’t remember anything about it. It’s scary as hell actually and it’s just more evidence that they’re not a well person. I’m making myself nuts trying to make sense of it so I’m not going to bother. Block.

They want you to carry their bullshit

Obviously they must be aware of how they treated you, and now for whatever reason they're trying to reinsert themselves back into your life. I can think of a couple different reasons why they are likely playing dumb. Either due to the total shame they feel or to the total ego they have. Either way it's both centered around their pride. This kind of toxic pride denies them the capacity to truly empathize with you and acknowledge any wrong doings on their part. It's unlikely they'll change and very likely they'll stab you in the back again when they think it's easiest for them to do so. Especially if you show them you'll accept whatever they did or will to you without consequence or them taking the accountability for themselves. They rather you be responsible for everything including them. Personally I wouldn't settle for that. You have to know your worth and be with someone that knows you worth otherwise you're just a doormat.
