I can admit the relationship I have is the safety net for the one I couldn't seem to achieve.

Don’t do what I did and stay in a relationship with anyone who doesn’t make you feel like you’re first string. If that relationship is over, don’t spend your time lamenting that it’s gone. If you do that, you’ll be old like me, looking back on decades of precious time wasted wishing for something that was never going to be right for me. Acceptance of what IS, is the key to moving forward into a better place.
