I loathe things arriving way too early, so that companies try and squeeze as much revenue out of a trend: pumpkin spice lattes launched in August when we’re still going to the beach, Halloween candy available before Labour Day, and now mentions of “the holidays” when we haven’t even passed Thanksgiving OR Halloween. Sheesh. Pushed to consume and spend when it’s nowhere near the correct season. Treating people like were too dumb to notice.

This is a pet peeve of mine as well. The one that irritates me the most is when they start promoting Christmas merchandise and put up decorations BEFORE Remembrance Day has passed. To me, it comes across as telling veterans "ugh, you people are soooo depressing! Let's hurry up and get over you guys so we can get to the fun decorations, music and presents wheeeee!"
Weird

It’s not even Halloween yet and the Bay already is starting to put up Christmas decorations.

I Just keep walking right past the ads for pumpkin spice lattes and Christmas decorations like they don’t even exist. I never liked the taste of pumpkin spice lattes anyway. I hate them.

As a frequent hostess, I will also tell you there’s nothing I love more than guests arriving way early while I’m still rushing around getting things ready, not even dressed up yet. Happens a lot.

Pumpkin spice lattes are gross. I’ll take a regular drip coffee any day.
