One Wish At A Time

When I see a full moon I wish for the health of my parents. They are the age demographic where luck is definitely needed. However, this past full moon I admit I selfishly wished for a date with my dream woman. I realize it's coincidence but one parent almost immediately became hospitalized in the intensive care unit and I had to fly home halfway across the world. My flight layover turned out to be in the dream woman's city too. I admit I searched for her a bit...but I found a fountain instead, and flipped in a coin and changed back the wish.

With respect your parent's health and the full moon have very little to do with each other.

At their age health issues can pop up at literally wny time.

Superstition, luck, fate, destiny, all a big nope

Luck — I think of more like an improbable outcome coming to be. It's not likely to happen, but it's not impossible to happen. And when it happens, I might say, “that was lucky.” But I don't think anything supernatural about it. It's just my way of vocalizing the thought “that was improbable, yet it happened.”

Don't fall into superstitious traps Try to enjoy the time you have left with your parents, they're elderly, and that's it. Be there for them. Take care.

You know this site is highly annoying to read or post anything now. So many pop up advertising links getting in the way.
