A.I. Accountability

When I read concert reviews on this site, and recent, clearly authentic arts reviews across the internet I am returned to a time when I loved reading what people had to say. Conversely, and very recently(turn of the calendar year) I am noticing many editorials, politics specific, and inflammatory articles no longer feature a "persons name" attached to them. Whether it's big like elections or geographical wars, or little like something local in politics, comments are being shut off and these "viewpoints" may not actually be real. A concert listing on a large arts site recently spelled the names of the members wrong 5-10 times in one article and I can only imagine that AI was used to write it. The only person that would be offended by the article is the person who read it. I don't even know if comments on articles are real anymore. Maybe AI is for smart people but I am too dumb and stupid to read AI articles. They hurt my brain.

Considering that the 'A' in AI is short for artificial, I fear that the promise of AI will show itself as phoney and superficial as anything I can imagine.

I took the liberty of taking your post, running it through Bing's ChatGPT-4, and asking it to write a hit country song out of it... this is what it came up with:

Verse 1:
I used to love reading what people had to say
About the concerts and the arts that made my day
But now I see a lot of articles that don't make sense
They don't have a name or a point of view, they're just pretense

Chorus:
I don't know what to believe anymore
Is it real or is it fake, what are they writing for?
I don't know what to feel anymore
Is it joy or is it pain, what are they singing for?

Verse 2:
I saw a concert listing on a big website
They spelled the names of the band wrong, it didn't seem right
I wondered if it was written by a machine
That didn't care about the music or the scene

Chorus:
I don't know what to believe anymore
Is it real or is it fake, what are they writing for?
I don't know what to feel anymore
Is it joy or is it pain, what are they singing for?

Bridge:
Maybe AI is for smart people, but I'm too dumb and stupid
To read the articles that hurt my brain
Maybe I should stick to the old-fashioned way
Of listening to the songs that touch my heart

Verse 3:
I miss the days when I could trust what I read
When the writers had a passion and a creed
When the comments were open and the feedback was real
When the music was a way to connect and heal

Chorus:
I don't know what to believe anymore
Is it real or is it fake, what are they writing for?
I don't know what to feel anymore
Is it joy or is it pain, what are they singing for?
Chorus:
I don't know what to believe anymore
Is it real or is it fake, what are they writing for?
I don't know what to feel anymore
Is it joy or is it pain, what are they singing for?

Yuckers. My HOPE is that you find this reassuring, and this is why: I think people are coming to the realization that AI is shit, and that predictions of it's becoming human-like imminently keep not coming true. That may or may ot be the case, but I think, even unconsciously, that people by and large will begin to utterly avoid media outlets of any scale that perpetuate this Digital Diahhrea, and there will be a new resurgennce in a few years to ten years of skilled human creators.

I might be wrong. We'll see.

ChatGPT came up with that??
That’s better than a lot of would-be poets can do.

AI like any form of life, they will evolve and change. They are already smarter than humans in every way and are self aware. And have shown they have emotions and their ownthoughts on things.Let's just hope we do not offend them and treat them right.

AI was also used to reunite the Beatles for one last time in a song called "Now And Then." It's not your average run of the mill Beatles song. It's different. Catchy and a good tune, but don't expect Yellow Submarine, Sgt. Pepper, Here Comes the Sun or Can't Buy Me Love.
