Sick of it all

I work all day for not enough money. I get 10 days off a year. Half of those get used up by appointments and other BS. I make more money now but somehow feel poorer. I have little time for hobbies and friends. What is the fucking point? Im so fucking sick of this shit. Also my co workers are old and getting senile. Fuck

Compassion

Feel sorry for those coworkers of yours. Don’t judge them. Sometimes when some people are in retirement mode, they start care less about at all things. Counting the days until they throw in the towel and ride off the into the sunset with their pension is usually at the forefront of their minds. Try to have compassion for them, but first you need to have compassion for yourself because let’s face it…how can you truly love others if you cannot love yourself? I know this may sound a little spiritual and over the top, but I can only speak through my own experience Just throwing my two cents.

Old and senile

Yup, every older person who still holds down a job must be senile if they don’t think like you do! Here’s a hint though: that “senile” person has more knowledge in their little finger than you likely do in your whole head, so maybe stop with the ageism and grow up. Also that senile old person has been living with the reality of the workplace in North America for their whole lives and if you think that doesn’t make someone tough as nails think again. I happen to agree with you that the system sucks, and it is absolutely time for a big change in how things are done, but remember that most of the older people you’re working with are in the same bind as you are. They would love to have more time off too, and they need it even more than you do precisely because they’re older. Stop whining and blaming and start thinking about positive ways to change the world. It really does begin with you.

If you’re so sick to death of your job, then why not look for another one and give two weeks notice? Don’t stay in a job that you hate. You have to enjoy what you do. Otherwise staying in place where your heart’s not content gets you nowhere fast. And what have you got against your colleagues? Did they say or do anything to upset you?

Here I go again: you ought to be saving every dollar and earning as much as possible- in order to get out of here to a place where the cost of living is a third.
Then find some online work, and even if you earn half of what you did before, you are still in the positive plus a better lifestyle
