Excited

Here I am, in my 30s, excited to go and visit my younger brother because I watched a few videos about The Legend of Zelda timeline split from OoT and my mind is blown. I haven’t played any of the games except OoT so it was like a whole new world opened up to me.

Straining my patience!

I confess that I’m not the most patient person at the best of times. I do my best, but there are times when I seriously would like to just slap someone. Especially inconsiderate people who literally act like they’re alone on the earth. I was picking up some groceries yesterday, and trying to keep my distance and wait my turn if someone was at the same place I needed to be. So...I wanted some bagels, and this guy pulled up his cart at the same time I did, so I stood back and waited. And waited, and waited, and ...! The guy proceeded to microscopically examine virtually every bag on the shelf. He picked them up, put them in his cart, then picked up others and squeezed them, held them in both hands as if he was weighing them, pulled them out of his cart and put them back on the shelf, etc. This went in for at least 5 minutes while he completely ignored those of us who were waiting. (by this time there was 3 of us). If it hadn’t been for the fact that the bagels were the last item I needed before I checked out, I wouldn’t have waited. All I have to say is that he has no idea how close he came to being rammed by my shopping cart! Inconsiderate jerk.

Reading.

During the lockdown I had time to read two novels. One was Dune by Frank Herbert. The other was the Irishman by Charles Brandt. They were both really good. I had the time so I read. I wish that I had read more books. I wonder if anyone else read during the lockdown?

OMG -

I can't afford an apartment in the west end despite going to work like a robot for 30 years. I found one I could but no dogs allowed and told the agent "well, if my bid is accepted I will put my dog to sleep" and she said "do you want to see the apartment?" Whoa Vancouver. You are more shallow than I thought. Big Time. I'm moving back south.

I confess that

they should bring social distancing back on buses because it is making me feel uncomfortable

Apathy

I have noticed, among my friends of a certain age, an apathetic attitude towards world events in general. Everything is 'bullshit', especially any topic related to social justice or politics. They only care about money or working out. I get it, not everyone has the capacity or time to speak out or be engaged but it disturbs me how little they care about anything besides status and material possessions. Its really fucking depressing particularly in light of recent events. Is it a generational thing (lots of these people I speak of are older, like late 40's)? Or is it a cultural thing? I don't know... i'm not feeling great lately and am not myself. Maybe I am over analyzing all this.

Twitter

I confess, I finally used twitter, And I love it! You can shit all over trump and his fascist buddies I mean really unload And there's even a good chance one of them will see it haha Therapy!

BLM & indigenous communities

It seems....& correct me if I'm wrong....that our First Nations people are being thrown under the bus, what with protests regarding George Floyd....I guess since we seem to be more concerned with the USA plus we jump on the bandwagon sort of speak when it comes to USA news & issues....where were these people marching & rallying for support for our missing & murdered indigenous women & girls or Tina Fontaine or Colten Boushie?.....the American protesters & others weren't , they don't even know anything about it....oh wait I forgot....the USA is the centre of the universe & only American news & issues count...anyway enough of my rant

Halestorm

This one makes me mouth the words and throw up the horns while banging my head! It's called, "I Like It Heavy".

bits and pieces

my life isn't bad. actually it's quite good. but it's just 'bits and pieces'. the unimportant extras that don't fit into the important categories. I know what the important stuff is too but it just didn't work out.

I SAW YOU

I Saw You in Costco

I saw you in Costco. You were wearing a very artistic corgi face mask and bought what could only...
