On July 20, see and be seen at the most stylish event of summer, the 11th annual Deighton Cup hosted by the Parade Agency and the Social Concierge. The popular event will host more than 7,000 funseekers in a day-long festival at Hastings Racecourse. Patrons decked out in their finest can enjoy a complete VIP experience with an eight-race card of top thoroughbred racing, a Fanny Bay oyster-shucking competition, a Champagne stage, a cigar lounge, a cocktail-mixology competition, and best-dressed awards.

Capping off Canada month will be Sports Alumni Day on July 28, which will bring some of Vancouver’s sports legends from the Vancouver Canucks, B.C. Lions, Whitecaps FC, and Hastings Jockey Club together for an annual meet and greet to support their respective charities. Come face to face with your sporting heroes under the Marquee Tent and enjoy an afternoon of live thoroughbred racing. There will also be a 50-50 draw and silent auction of valuable memorabilia.
