COVID-19 in B.C.: 44 schools with new exposures in Vancouver Coastal, Interior, and Fraser Health regions

      Due to the extensive number of school exposure events, clusters, and outbreaks in schools, these school updates will be published as separate from the daily B.C. COVID-19 updates.

      Today (November 25), three regional health authorities added 44 schools with new exposure dates.

      Island Health and Northern Health didn’t have any schools with new dates.

      Interior Health

      Interior Health had seven schools with new exposures dates.

      Six of those schools were in Kelowna:

      • Canyon Falls Middle School (1211 Frost Road) had exposures from November 18 to 19;
      • Central School—Central Programs and Services (1825 Richter Street) had exposures from November 17 to 19;
      • George Pringle Elementary (3770 Elliott Road) in West Kelowna had an exposure on November 13;
      • Rutland Senior Secondary (705 Rutland Road North) had an exposure on November 16;
      • Springvalley Middle School (350 Ziprick Road) had exposures on November 12, 13, and 16;
      • Immaculata Regional High School (1493 KLO Road)—which had previous exposure dates on November 4, 6, and 9—had a new exposure event from November 16 to 19.

      In Salmon Arm, Salmon Arm Secondary (Sullivan Campus, 1641 30th Street Northeast) had exposures from November 17 to 18.

      Vancouver Coastal Health

      Vancouver Coastal Health had 11 schools with new exposures.

      In Richmond, R.C. Palmer Secondary (8160 St Albans Road), which previously had an exposure on October 22, had a new exposure event from November 18 to 20.

      In Vancouver, six schools had new dates:

      • David Thompson Secondary School (1755 East 55th Avenue), which previously had exposures from November 9 to 10, had exposures from November 18 to 20;
      • Sir Charles Tupper Secondary School (419 East 24th Avenue)—previously had exposures on September 30; from October 1 to 2; from October 7 to 9; and on November 2—had a new exposure event from November 19 to 20;
      • Vancouver Technical Secondary (2600 East Broadway), which had a previous exposure on September 21, added November 12 to 13, 16 to 17, and 18 to 20 as new dates;
      • Prince of Wales Secondary School (2250 Eddington Drive) had exposures from November 19 to 20—its Mini School previously had exposures on October 1, 2, and 5;
      • John Henderson Elementary (451 E 53rd Avenue), which previously had an exposure on October 13, had exposures from November 18 to 20;
      • Lord Kitchener Elementary School (3455 West King Edward Avenue), which had a previous exposure event on October 5 and 7, had a new exposure event from November 17 to 19.

      In North Vancouver, Carson Graham Secondary (2145 Jones Avenue), which previously had exposures from October 29 to 30 and November 2 to 6, had exposures from November 18 to 19.

      In West Vancouver, École Cedardale (595 Burley Drive) had an exposure on November 20.

      In the Sea to Sky region, Garibaldi Highlands Elementary (2590 Portree Way) in Garibaldi Highlands—which had previous exposures on September 24, 25, 29, 30, and October 1—had new exposures from November 16 to 17.

      In Squamish, Howe Sound Senior Secondary School (38430 Buckley Avenue), which previously had an exposure on November 16, added on November 17.

      Coghlan Fundamental Elementary

      Fraser Health

      Fraser Health had 26 schools with new dates.

      In Abbotsford, two schools added new dates:

      • Abbotsford Dasmesh Punjabi (5930 Riverside Street), which previously had an exposure event from October 20 to 21, had an exposure event from November 17 to 19;
      • W.J. Mouat Secondary (32355 Mouat Drive), which previously had an exposure on November 10, had a new exposure on November 17.

      Three schools in Burnaby added new dates:

      • Aubrey Elementary (1075 Stratford Avenue) had exposures from November 12 to 13;
      • Brentwood Park Elementary (1455 Delta Avenue) had an exposure on November 13;
      • Parkcrest Elementary (6055 Halifax Street) also had an exposure on November 13.

      In Coquitlam, two schools had new exposure dates:

      • École Montgomery Middle (1900 Edgewood Avenue) had an exposure on November 13;
      • Leigh Elementary (1230 Soball Street) had exposures on November 12, 16, and 17.

      In Delta, two schools added new dates:

      • Burnsview Secondary (7658 112 Street), which previously had exposures from November 3 to 5, added November 17 to 20;
      • Chalmers Elementary (11315 75th Avenue)—which had previous exposures on November 12, 13, and 16—added November 17 to 20.

      In Hope, Hope Secondary School (444 Stuart Street), which previously had an exposure from November 11 to 12, added November 13.

      In Langley, three schools had new exposures:

      • Coghlan Fundamental Elementary (4452 256 Street) in Aldergrove had exposures from November 18 to 19;
      • D.W. Poppy Secondary (23752 52nd Avenue), which had previous exposures from October 27 to 28 and on November 12, added November 18 to 19;
      • R.E. Mountain Secondary (7633 202a Street)—which previously had exposures from November 2 to 4; on November 9; and from November 10 to 12—added November 13.
      Betty Huff Elementary

      In Surrey, 13 schools had new exposures:

      • Betty Huff Elementary (13055 Huntley Avenue) had exposures from November 16 to 18;
      • Clayton Heights Secondary (7003 188 Street)—which previously had exposures from October 15 to 16 and 19 to 22, and on November 10—added November 16 to 17 as new dates;
      • Colebrook Elementary (5404 125a Street) had exposures from November 17 to 18;
      • David Brankin Elementary (9160 128 Street)—which previously had exposures from October 1 to 2 and on November 2 and 3—added November 10 to 13 as exposure dates;
      • Fraser Heights Secondary (16060 108th Avenue)—which had previous exposures on September 30 and October 1, 2, and 16; and on November 9—added November 17 to 20 and 23 as exposure dates;
      • Hazelgrove Elementary (7057 191 Street), which previously had an exposure on October 30, had new exposures from November 17 to 19;
      • Johnston Heights Secondary (15350 99 Avenue)—which previously had exposure event from September 8 to 11; on October 19; from November 9 to 12; and on November 13—added November 16 to 20;
      • Latimer Road Elementary (19233 60th Avenue), which had a previous exposure on November 4, added November 18 to 19;
      • École Panorama Ridge Secondary (13220 64 Avenue)—which previously had exposures on September 8 and 10; from September 30 to October 1; from October 6 to 9 and 13 to 15; from October 19 to 20; on November 3, 4, and 5; and on November 16—has added November 17 to 19;
      • Rosemary Heights Elementary (15516 36 Avenue)—which previously listed potential exposures on September 21; from September 24 to October 2; on November 9—added November 13;
      • Semiahmoo Secondary (1785 148 Street)—which previously had exposure events from November 5 to 6; and on November 10 and 12—added November 19;
      • T.E. Scott Elementary (7079 148 Street), which previously had exposures from September 14 to 15, had new exposures from November 17 to 18;
      • Cloverdale Catholic School (17511 59th Avenue), which previously had an exposure event from October 21 to 22, had a new exposure from November 18 to 19.
