COVID-19 in B.C.: 76 schools in four regional health authorities have new exposures

      Four of B.C.'s regional health authorities had schools with new exposure dates, for a total of 76 schools.

      Fraser Health continues to have a significantly higher number of schools with exposure events. Once again, Island Health didn’t have any schools with new exposure dates.

      Surrey, Abbotsford, and Kelowna all had similar numbers of schools with new exposures.

      Northern Health

      Northern Health had two schools with new exposure dates.

      Decker Lake Elementary School (6710 Decker Lake Frontage Road) in Burns Lake had exposures from December 3 to 4.

      In Prince George, St. Mary’s Catholic School (1088 Gillett Street), which previously had exposures from December 1 to 2, had additional exposures from December 3 to 4.

      Interior Health

      Interior Health had 15 schools with new exposure dates.

      In Cranbrook, Laurie Middle School (1808 2nd Street South) had an exposure on December 4.

      In Kelowna, 11 schools had new exposures:

      • Canyon Falls Middle School (1211 Frost Road)—which had previous exposures from November 18 to 19; and from November 26 to 27—added December 2 to 4;
      • École Élémentaire Casorso Elementary School (3675 Casorso Road)—which previously had exposures from November 5 to 6; from November 9 to 10; on November 12; and from November 26 to 27—added December 3 to 4;
      • Kelowna Secondary School (1079 Raymer Avenue)—which previously had an exposure event from October 19 to 21; a second case on October 21; a third event from October 28 to 30; four new cases from October 2 to 4; another event from October 5 to 6; added November 9, 10, 12, and 18; added November 19 to 20; and from November 30 and December 2 to 3—added December 7;
      • École Dr. Knox Middle School (121 Drysdale Boulevard)—which had previous exposures on November 2 and 6; and on November 8—added December 3 as a new exposure date;
      • Immaculata Regional High School (1493 KLO Road)—which had previous exposure dates on November 4, 6, and 9; and from November 16 to 19—added December 1, 2, 4, and 7 to 9;
      • Mar Jok Elementary School (2101 McDougall Road) in West Kelowna, which previously had an exposure on November 23, added December 7;
      • Mount Boucherie Secondary School (2751 Cameron Road) in West Kelowna, which had an exposure event from November 9 to 10, added December 2 to 4;
      • Okanagan Mission Secondary School (4544 Gordon Drive)—which previously had exposures from October 28 to 30; from November 2 to 3; on November 10; on November 12; and on November 26—added December 3, 4, and 7;
      • South Kelowna Elementary (4176 Spiers Road) in South Kelowna—which previously had exposures on November 27; and from November 30 to December 2—added December 3 to 4;
      • St. Joseph Elementary School (839 Sutherland Avenue)—which previously had exposures from October 21 to 22; on November 2 and 23; and from December 2 to 4—added December 7 to 9 as additional dates;
      • Watson Road Elementary School (475 Yates Road)—which previously had exposures from November 23 to 24; and on November 27—added December 7 to 8.

      In Lake Country, two schools listed exposures:

      • George Elliot Secondary (10241 Bottom Wood Lake Road) had exposures from December 2 to 4 and 7;
      • Oyama Traditional School (15525 Greenhow Road) had exposures from December 1 to 3 and 7.

      In Williams Lake, Lake City Secondary School (640 Carson Drive)—which had previous exposures from November 17 to 19; and on December 1—added December 2 to 4.

      Vancouver Coastal Health

      VCH had 13 schools with new exposure dates.

      Five schools in Vancouver had new dates:

      • Sir Sandford Fleming Elementary (6363 Lanark Street) had exposures from December 7 to 8.
      • John Oliver Secondary School (530 East 41st Avenue)—which had previous exposures on October 9 and 26from November 9 to 10; on November 13; on December 1 and 3; and on December 4 and 7—added December 8 to 10;
      • Notre Dame Regional Secondary School (2880 Venables Street)—which had previous exposures on October 8; from November 9 to 10; and from November 30 to December 1—added December 7 to 8;
      • Crofton House School (3200 West 41st Avenue), which had previous exposures from December 3 to 4, added December 7 to 8;
      • St. Francis of Assisi Elementary (870 Victoria Drive), which previously had exposures from November 16 to 17, added December 8 to 9.

      In North Vancouver, two school added dates:

      • Carson Graham Secondary (2145 Jones Avenue)—which previously had exposures from October 29 to 30 and November 2 to 6; from November 18 to 19; and on November 30 and December 1 to 4—added December 7;
      • Upper Lynn Elementary (1540 Coleman Street) had exposures from December 7 to 9.

      Three schools in West Vancouver had new exposures:

      • West Vancouver Secondary School (1750 Mathers Avenue), which previously had exposures from November 26 to 27, added December 7 to 10.
      • Collingwood School’s Morven campus (70 Morven Drive)—which had previous exposures on October 5 and 6; on November 16; and from November 23 to 25—added December 8 to 10;
      • Corpus Christi Elementary School (6344 Nanaimo Street) had an exposure event on December 10.

      In Richmond, three schools had new dates:

      • A.R. MacNeill Secondary School (6611 No. 4 Road), which previously had an exposure on November 12, added December 7;
      • William Cook Elementary (8600 Cook Road), which had previous exposures from November 9 to 10 and on November 12, added December 2 to 4 and 8; 
      • Mitchell Elementary School (12091 Cambie Road)—which had a previous exposure incident on November 2; and from November 12 to 13—added December 7 to 10.

      Fraser Health

      Fraser Health had 46 schools with new exposure dates. 

      In Abbotsford, 11 schools had new dates:

      • Abbotsford Middle School (33231 Bevan Avenue), which previously had exposures from November 30 to December 2, added December 3 to 4;
      • Abbotsford Senior Secondary (33355 Bevan Avenue)—which previously had exposure incidents on October 14; on November 6 and 9; from November 17 to 20; on November 27; and from December 3 to 4—added December 7 to 8;
      • Bradner Elementary (5291 Bradner Road) had an expoure on December 7;
      • Abbotsford Dasmesh Punjabi (5930 Riverside Street), which previously had an exposure event from October 20 to 21; from November 17 to 19; from November 19 to 20 and 23 to 27; and from December 1 to 4—added November 30;
      • Eugene Reimer Middle (3433 Firhill Drive)—which previously had exposures on October 5 and from October 26 to 27; and on November 9—added December 3, 4, and 7;
      • King Traditional Elementary (28776 King Road)—which previously had exposures from November 24 to 26; on November 30; and on December 1, 3, and 4—added December 7 to 9;
      • Mennonite Educational Institute (4081 Clearbrook Road)—which had previous exposures on October 13, 14, 16, and 30from November 4 to 6 and 9 to 10; from November 18 to 20; and on December 4—added December 2 to 3;
      • Rick Hansen Secondary (31150 Blueridge Drive)—which previously had exposures on October 6, 7, and 13; from October 14 to 16; on November 2; from November 3 and 4; from November 9 to 10; on November 17 and 23; on November 26; and from December 3 to 4—added December 8;
      • Ross Elementary (2451 Ross Road) had an exposure on December 4;
      • Unity Christian (50950 Hack Brown Road)—which had previous exposures on October 20 to 22; from October 26 to 29; and on November 20—added December 4, 7, and 8;
      • W.J. Mouat Secondary (32355 Mouat Drive), which previously had exposures on November 10 and 17, had an exposure event from December 7 to 8.

      Four schools in Burnaby had new dates:

      • Burnaby North Secondary (751 Hammarskjold Drive)—which previously had exposures on from October 8 to 9; from October 14 to 15; from October 28 to 30; from November 2 to 3; from November 9 to 10 and 12 to 13; and from November 25 to 26—added December 4;
      • Kitchener Elementary (1351 Gilmore Avenue), which had exposures from October 26 to 30, added December 7;
      • Moscrop Secondary (4433 Moscrop Street)—which had previous exposures from November 3 to 4; from November 12 to 13; and on December 1—added December 2;
      • Suncrest Elementary (3883 Rumble Street) had an exposure on December 3.

      In Coquitlam, four schools had new dates:

      • Centennial Secondary (570 Poirier Street)—which previously had exposures from October 15 to 16; from October 19 to 21on November 13, 16, and 17; and on November 18—added December 8 to 10;
      • École Banting Middle School (820 Banting Street), which previously had exposures from October 13 to 14, added December 9 to 10;
      • École Panorama Heights Elementary (1455 Johnson Street) had an exposure on December 4;
      • Miller Park Elementary (800 Egmont Avenue), which previously had an exposure event from September 30 to October 2, added December 7.

      In Anmore, Eagle Mountain Middle School (110 Dogwood Drive) had exposures from December 3 to 4.

      Chilliwack had two schools with new dates:

      • A.D. Rundle Middle (45660 Hocking Avenue)—which previously had exposures from October 26 to 29; and from December 3 to 4—added December 7;
      • Kwíyeqel Secondary School (8855 Elm Drive) had exposures from December 7 to 8.

      In Delta, three schools had new exposures:

      • Delview Secondary (9111 116th Street)—which previously had an exposure on October 29; from November 6 to 16; from November 23 to 25; and from November 26 to 27—added December 3;
      • North Delta Secondary (11447 82nd Avenue)—which previously had an exposure event from November 12 to 13; from November 19 to 20; on November 23 and 27; and November 25 to 26—added November 30 to December 4;
      • Pinewood Elementary (11777 Pinewood Drive) had an exposure event from December 2 to 4.

      In Langley, Aldergrove Community Secondary School (26850 29th Avenue)—which previously had exposures on November 13 and 16; and from November 30 to December 1—added December 12.

      In Maple Ridge, Eric Langton Elementary (12138 Edge Street) had an exposure event from December 8 to 9.

      In Pitt Meadows, Pitt Meadows Secondary (19438 116b Avenue), which previously had exposures from October 15 to 16 and 19 to 21, added December 3.

      In Mission, Hatzic Middle School (34800 Dewdney Trunk Road)—which previously had exposures on October 5 and 16; from November 3 to 4 and on November 6; from December 1 to 3 and 4—added December 7 to 8.

      In New Westminster, three schools had new dates:

      • F.W. Howay Elementary (91 Courtney Crescent) had exposures from December 8 to 9;
      • Lord Tweedsmuir Elementary (1714 8th Avenue)—which had previous exposures from September 14 to 15September 24 to 25; on October 2 and 30; and on November 2—added December 3 to 4;
      • New Westminster Secondary (835 8th Street)—which previously had exposures from September 15 to 17; from October 14 to 16 and 20 to 21; from October 26 to 27; from November 2 to 3; on November 9; from November 18 to 20on November 23; and on November 27 and 30, and December 1—added December 3, 4, and 7.
      Kwíyeqel Secondary School

      Surrey had 14 schools with new exposures:

      • Cedar Hills Elementary (12370 98th Avenue)—which previously had exposures on October 13 and on November 16; and from November 23 to 27—added December 2 to 4 and 7;
      • Colebrook Elementary (5404 125a Street)—which previously had exposures from November 17 to 19; on November 30; and from December 2 to 3—added December 4;
      • Guildford Park Secondary (10707 146th Street) in North Surrey—which previously had exposures on November 5, and from December 2 to 4—added November 30 to December 1;
      • Hazelgrove Elementary (7057 191st Street)—which previously had exposures on October 30, and from November 16 to 19; and on November 27—added December 1 to 4;
      • Johnston Heights Secondary (15350 99 Avenue)—which previously had exposure event from September 8 to 11; on October 19; from November 9 to 12; on November 13; from November 16 to 20; and from November 23 to 25—added December 10;
      • Panorama Park Elementary (12878 62nd Avenue)—which previously had exposure events from October 14 to 15; from November 23 to 24; from December 1 to 2—added exposures from December 3 to 4;
      • Princess Margaret Secondary (12870 72nd Avenue)—which previously had exposures on September 11; on October 12, 15, and 16; on October 26 and 29; from November 2 to 5; on November 24, 26, 27, and 30; from December 1 to 3; and on December 7—added December 4;
      • Sullivan Heights Secondary (6248 144th Street)—which had previous incidents on September 8, from September 30 to October 1; from October 13 to 15, and on October 19; from October 20 to 22; on October 30; from November 3 to 5; from November 4 to 5 and 12; on November 10 and 13; from November 17 to 20; from November 23 to 25; from November 30 to December 3; and on December 4—added December 7 to 9;
      • Westerman Elementary (7626 122nd Street)—which previously had exposure events from October 5 to 7; from October 15 to 16; from November 2 to 3; from November 12 to 13; and from December 1 to 4—added November 30;
      • Guru Angad Dev Elementary (13479 77th Avenue)—which had previous exposures on October 2 and 9; from October 29 to 30; from November 2 to 4; on November 6 and 9; and from November 16 to 17—added November 30 to December 2;
      • Pacific Academy (10238 168th Street)—which had previous exposures on November 9; from November 12 to 13; from 17 to 20; from November 23 to 25 and 30; and on November 26—added December 3;
      • Regent Christian Academy (15100 66A Avenue)—which is closed due to an outbreak declared on December 11 and which previously had exposure events from November 30 to December 4 and on December 7—added December 8 to 10;
      • Southridge School (2656 160th Street)—which previously had exposure events from September 28 to October 1 and on October 2; and from November 16 to 17—added December 7 and 8 to its exposure dates;
      • Surrey Christian School (which of the three campuses are affected weren't specified), which previously had an exposure event from November 19 to 20, added December 7 to 9.
