COVID-19: Justin Trudeau, Ryan Reynolds, Seth Rogen, and Hayley Wickenheiser urge Canadians to #PlanktheCurve

Some Canadians were befuddled last week when the country's chief public health officer, Dr. Theresa Tam, declared a need to "plank" the curve of new COVID-19 cases.

At that time, there was a lot of talk of flattening the curve of infections so that hospitals wouldn't be overrun with patients.

But through social distancing and staying home, Tam suggested that Canada could do more than than.

In fact, she proposed that the rate of infections could fall more quickly.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau then used the term "plank the curve" in a recent video, urging other Canadians to follow suit.

That's led to similar videos by well-known Canadians like Vancouver native Ryan Reynolds and Seth Rogen, and Saskatchewan's Hayley Wickenheiser.
