A far-right political activist has told his followers to expect a police crackdown in the national capital.

On Facebook, Plaid Army vlogger Jeremy MacKenzie said that "good guys within the apparatus" of the state told him that hundreds of Mounties have been bused into Ottawa.

MacKenzie maintained that the public-order unit is overseeing this operation to put an end to a lengthy protest by truckers and others against vaccine mandates.

"They’re planning on mass arrests," MacKenzie said. "Apparently they’re working on this around the clock, 24-7. I don’t know how they’re going to do this.”

He claimed that the decision to do this is "coming directly from the top". And he suggested that the Ontario Provincial Police, which do not have a vaccine mandate, will be offering support.

"The entire government apparatus is coming down on top of these people," MacKenzie said.

In the past, MacKenzie has claimed that there's a race war underway in America.

Earlier this month, MacKenzie was charged with weapons offences in Nova Scotia after video showed him allegedly waving a handgun in a reckless manner.

None of the allegations have been proven. MacKenzie has been released on the condition that he not possess firearms, ammunition, weapons, and explosive substances.

MacKenzie has appeared with protesters at the Ottawa event. He's also met in the past with People's Party of Canada Leader Maxime Bernier, who's promoted his Instagram feed.

According to MacKenzie, those taken into custody this week will be processed at Lansdowne Park, which has a 32,000-square-foot pavilion.

He also claimed that there's a plan to eliminate cellphone service during the police operation.

"They're planning to send in the jackboots to round everybody up and have them all arrested," MacKenzie insisted. "And they've only got a couple of days, if that. So share that around."
