This weekend's eSports events worth catching include the Call of Duty League and NHL Round 1 insanity

      If you're like us, you have six cannisters of Pringles Salt and Vinegar chips next to the sofa right now, and a 12-pack of Steamwhistle on ice in a cooler just waiting to be demolished. Now all you need is something to keep you entertained. Here are four eSports events worth tuning in for this weekend. 

       

      Stanley Cup Playoffs: Vegas Golden Knights vs. Nashville Predators

      Friday (April 10) at 7.m. EST on the Nashvile Predators Facebook page.
      You know what the greatest things in the world is? Take a bow if you said “Round 1 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs”. That’s when the upsets tends to happen, the fights are plentiful, and—because no one is banged up—the hitting is particulary punishing. Imagine the adrenalized insanity that might have been in 2020 when the Preds face off against the Knights for a simulated Round 1 series that kicks off at 7 p.m. Friday night. Don’t forget that, at playoff time, you don’t pick up your teeth--you kick them into the corner and get ready for the next shift.

      Call of Duty League - Dallas Empire Home Series

      Eight teams including Seattle Surge, Paris Legion, Florida Mutineers, Toronto Ultra, Chicago Huntsmen, Minnesota RØkkr, Dallas Empire, and Los Angeles Guerrillas, will battle it out over the Easter long weekend. The favourites going into this tournament are Dallas Empire and the Chicago Huntsmen, but the darkhorse RØkkr could surprise everyone with a victory.       Overwatch is one of most fun team-based multiplayer first-person shooter games to watch right now. We're not  just saying that just because hometown heroes Vancouver Titans are in the mix. The six versus six battles are always intense because you never know which players will come up with big clutch plays or mistimed attacks. Strap in for a weekend of Overwatch action.
