December is the month of getting together with family to celebrate the holiday season, drinking steaming hot cups of mulled wine, and excessively sharing photos of Christmas lights on Instagram.

It’s also when Meat and Bread (370 Cambie Street and 1033 West Pender Street) launches its highly anticipated turducken sandwich ($12.50 each).

The seasonal menu item returns December 21 to 23 (at the Cambie location) and December 21 to 22 (at the West Pender location).

It features a turkey-duck-chicken combo topped with a cranberry mostarda (Northern Italian condiment), pumpkin seed crumble, and radicchio red cabbage slaw.

The eatery makes this popular sandwich by deboning the entire turkey and grinding the duck, which enables the chefs to season the roast thoroughly and create an evenly-cooked turducken.

For those who wish to get their hands on one of these babies, be sure to head over well in advance of the lunch rush hour—it is known to sell-out very quickly.
