For the 23rd consecutive year, B.C. unions are demonstrating their generosity to the underprivileged by hosting a mammoth Christmas dinner.

It's taking place tonight from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Maritime Labour Centre (1880 Trumph Street) and the upper auditorium at the Whalley Legion (13535 106 Avenue, Surrey).

Approximately 3,000 people will enjoy turkey dinner and everything that comes with it.

There will also be hampers of food for diners to take home, as well as clothing and toys for kids.

The B.C. Federation of Labour is putting on the dinner with the help of two Jim Pattison Group companies (Canadian Fishing Company and Overwaitea Food Group), the United Way, and other donors and supporters.
