Parq Vancouver’s 1886 restaurant to serve up Lunar New Year lunch buffet

      Lunar New Year is just around the corner, and many Asian restaurants around town are prepping for the big celebration.

      Parq Vancouver’s upscale Chinese restaurant, 1886 (39 Smithe Street), will be kicking off the Year of the Dog by offering an impressive Lunar New Year lunch buffet ($60 per person, plus taxes and gratuity, and guests must be 19 and over).

      Guests will be able to enjoy their meal inside the posh interior of the high-end dining establishment, which features seats velvet upholstered seats in a chic yet comfortable environment.

      The buffet menu will include an assortment of foods, including dim sum, carving and barbecue stations, sushi, salads, noodle and rice stations, pastries, and desserts. Besides the dishes that are regularly served at 1886, other restaurants at Parq Vancouver (Honey Salt, the Victor, B.C. Kitchen, and Market East) will also serve up some of its culinary creations.

      New York-based tea sommelier Kathy Chan will be making appearances during the meals, showcasing a special New Year’s tea program.

      The Lunar New Year lunch buffet at 1886 will be available Thursday through Saturday (February 15 to 17) from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and reservations can be made by calling 778-370-8500.
