Just because you’ve already enjoyed dessert after dinner, doesn’t mean anyone is stopping you for a second round of post-meal sweets.

Those who have a soft spot for pies and drinks should check out the new menu at Joe Fortes Seafood and Chophouse (777 Thurlow Street): Joe’s After 9—a double feature of artisan cocktails and fresh pies baked in-house.

The late-night offer showcases four pie flavours ($7.95 per slice), which includes lemon meringue (fresh lemon curd and toasted meringue), apple crumble (cinnamon apples, brown sugar crumble, and vanilla bean ice cream), bourbon pecan (crushed pecans and dark chocolate), and espresso chocolate chiffon (dark chocolate, light espresso mousse, and whipped cream).

Some of the cocktail picks include Joe’s Barrel-Aged Old Fashioned (in-house barrel aged lot 40 rye, sugar, and bitters), Delightful Warning (Jamaican rum, aperol, falernum, lime juice, and orgeat syrup), and Joe’s Irish Coffee (Jameson whiskey, coffee, sugar cube, and whip cream), among others.

A take-out option is not available at the moment, so you’ll have to make a visit to the well-loved eatery for a slice or two.
