Just in time for patio season, a few Granville Island restaurants have recently launched or expanded their Happy Hours.
The SandBar’s first-ever Happy Hour runs Monday to Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. in its newly renovated bar/lounge and on its rooftop patio. Highlights: highballs, Granville Island beer, and red or white wine for $5, and all food items under $10. There are panko-breaded avocado chips with chili-lime aioli; tacos frijoles; Chiang Mai wok mussels with lemongrass, chili, garlic, and coconut milk; and more.
Dockside Restaurant, meanwhile, is now offering its Happy Hour seven days a week. The drinks menu includes sleeves of Dockside’s house-brewed beers for $4, including brewmaster Craig Ludtke’s newest seasonal creations. Highballs go for $6, while seven-ounce glasses of red or white wine are $7. “Little Bites” are $8 across the board and include wild-boar pate, cauliflower fritters, and cheeseburger spring rolls.
Over at Bridges Restaurant, Happy Hour runs from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, on the patio and in the bar. Look for drink specials like $6 microbrews and snacks such as nachos and popcorn shrimp ($10) and freshly shucked oysters ($2).
