The Lobby Lounge at Fairmont Pacific Rim to debut long-table sushi omakase

Not only is the Fairmont Pacific Rim (1038 Canada Place) a luxury hotel, it’s also a purveyor of good eats.

Home to a critically acclaimed restaurant (the Botanist), Instagram-favourite sweets spot (giovane café), and a regularly packed bar featuring live music (the Lobby Lounge), it’s not hard to see why locals and tourists enjoy visiting this Coal Harbour establishment even if they’re not hotel guests.

Connected to its frequented lounge is the RawBar, which serves up fresh sushi and sashimi daily. It will be launching an omakase long-table sushi experience next week (June 18)—a family-style meal where sushi chef Takayuki Omi chooses what guests will be eating.

There’s no set menu, but you can expect to indulge in Ocean Wise dishes like oysters, sashimi, maki rolls, and chef’s favourites at its communal tables.

Pair your bites with a cocktail, such as the Lobby Lounge’s Baizaiten (made with mint, cucumber, rosemary, London dry gin, and sencha green tea).

RawBar’s omakase meals ($50 per person, plus taxes and gratuity) are available Monday through Friday (11 a.m. to 4 p.m.), for groups of four or more. Reservations can be made online.
