Vancouver takes its brunching seriously, so this upcoming event will definitely catch the attention of weekly breakfast-meets-lunch-goers in the city.

The second annual Brunch Affair returns to the Pipe Shop (115 Victory Ship Way, North Vancouver) on July 7 and 8 (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.).

The food-filled festival will feature various brunch and breakfast items from several Vancouver restaurants, chefs, and merchants. Guests will be able to indulge in dishes like gourmet bagels, breakfast sandwiches, plant-based tacos, and stroopwafels (thin layers of baked dough filled with caramel syrup in the middle), among others.

Besides the mouth-watering fare, libations will also be on offer. Coffees, cocktails, wines, and craft beer will be served by beverage vendors such as G & W Distilling, Stanley Park Brewing, Walter Craft Caesar, and XOXO Wines.

If you feel like you still have room for something sweet after indulging in all the savoury items, go for the frozen treats at Welcome Ice Cream Parlour or Tübify. Local bands will also be performing live at the venue, and lawn games will be set up for the entire brood to enjoy.

Tickets ($5 for a single general admission) are available online; food and drink items can be bought separately once guests are inside the event. If you prefer to skip the vendor line-ups, food and beverage tokens ($2.50 each) can also be pre-purchased online.

Partial proceeds from the Brunch Affair will go toward the Society for the Advancement of Artists and Musicians (SAAM), which provides technical and mentorship support to local B.C.-based musicians.
