B.C. film and TV teams compete in Reel Thanksgiving Challenge for Greater Vancouver Food Bank

      For the sixth year, screen productions filming in B.C. are competing to raise funds and collect food for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank (GVFB).

      The Reel Thanksgiving Challenge, presented by the Directors Guild of Canada, B.C., launched on September 24 and will continue until 5 p.m. on October 5.

      For every dollar that is donated, the GVFB can purchase $3 of food.

      Film and TV productions that are competing are The Good Doctor, The Twilight Zone, A Million Little Things, Snowpiercer, Riverdale, Supergirl, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, When Calls the Heart, Another Life, iZombie, Charmed, Siren, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Supernatural, The Flash, The 100, The Man in the High Castle, The Magicians, and more.

      The Good Doctor 

      Last year, productions and businesses managed to raise a record amount of $207,787.73. The leading team was The Man in the High Castle.

      This year's goal is to raise $150,000.
