You may think that outdoor patios are only for the summer season, but one local establishment has conveniently created a winter-friendly space to kick-start your holiday mood.

Downtown Vancouver’s Rosewood Hotel Georgia (801 West Georgia Street) is home to Reflections, a secluded garden terrace known to be a popular post-work spot. For the holiday season, it has transformed into a winter wonderland complete with twinkling lights, plush throws, and other festive décor.

Its featured menu includes plenty of share-plates, such as cheese fondue, crispy fingerlings with shaved truffle, turkey-and-sage sausage rolls, duck-prosciutto flatbread, kusshi oysters, cheese and charcuterie, and a Tomahawk steak platter, among others.

Sweets range from walnut cake (with toasted walnuts and white chocolate cream) to blood orange pot-de-crème (with whipped honey mascarpone and candied blood orange) to chantilly cream profiteroles (with Kahlua chocolate sauce and coffee dust).

The patio pop-up is decorated with plenty of twinkling lights.

Guests will also find a selection of festive cocktails, including Christmas Mule (Grey Goose vodka, ginger beer, cranberry juice, winter syrup, garnish rosemary, and candied cranberries) and Winter Wonderland (Remy Martine VSOP cognac, lemon, winter spices, and sparkling wine).

Warm cocktails like Little Rummer Boy (Mount Gay Eclipse rum and spiced compound butter) and True North (Ezra Brooks bourbon, Mount Gay XO Rum, Fernet Branca Menta, and hot chocolate) are also on the menu. Those who enjoy their wines will be happy to know that reds and whites, as well as rosé and bubbles are on offer.

We’re sure that this highly anticipated winter terrace (runs through December 31, 2018) will be the ideal escape for city-dwellers who are looking for a bit of holiday cheer.
