Rain or Shine to give out free ice-cream pints to those who donate blood

This month, Vancouverites who donate blood are eligible for a free pint of ice cream.

Local ice-cream purveyor Rain or Shine has launched its annual #pintforapint campaign, which encourages more first-time blood donors to help those in need, in exchange for a delicious treat.

Those who donate blood to the Oak Street Clinic (4750 Oak Street) will be able to grab a free pint of ice cream from the frozen-treats shop, while supplies last.

To participate in the campaign, individuals must pick up a card from one of Rain or Shine’s locations (UBC, Kitsilano, or Cambie).

Get it stamped at the clinic after giving a blood donation, and then redeem it for a free pint at any one of its shops on January 31—a pretty sweet offer, if you ask us.
