Some familiar faces were wearing aprons at the Union Gospel Mission's headquarters at 601 East Hastings Street.
Global TV anchors Anne Drewa and Jay Durant and CTV anchors Mi-Jung Lee and Norma Reid were among the volunteers serving 2,500 Easter meals today.
UGM also served the poor at its New Westminster location at 658 Clarkson Street.
The Christian organization was founded in 1940, and provides meals and outreach, alcohol and drug recovery programs, and shelter and housing.
