Veggie burgers have acquired heightened popularity over the past while but one such product is being recalled in Canada due to metal fragments that may be found in them.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) announced on April 18 that Belmont Meat Products is recalling Kirkland Signature brand Harvest Burger’s Gourmet Blend Veggie Burgers due to the possible presence of metal pieces.

The food product was distributed in B.C., Ontario, Quebec, and possibly nationally.

      The burgers are sold in 1.7 kilogram packages with the code ”A 1748 B20 BB/MA: 2019 AL 23 112”.

Anyone with these recalled products should dispose of them or return them to the place of purchase.

The recall was initiated due to a customer complaint but so far there haven’t been any reported injuries associated with the consumption of this food product.
