If you’re into German food and drink, here’s a new place in Downtown Vancouver to check out.

The Bavarian-themed venue Prost Haus is launching today (May 3) in a rooftop space located above its sibling establishment Dublin Calling Pub and Kitchen (which opened in November 2017) at 900 Granville Street.

The space was previously the Dublin Calling Rooftop, and had also housed the pop-up Roof Garten back in 2016.

Drawing inspiration from Bavarian beer halls, Prost Haus (prost means cheers in German) will feature communal dining at long tables, with staff dressed in traditional lederhosen.

The menu spans German staples, including schnitzel, pretzels, and bratwurst, as well as German and international beers served in stein horns.

Patrons can amuse themselves with games such as oversized Jenga, shuffleboard, and a beanbag toss. The spot also claims to have the world’s longest shotski, with multiple shot glasses on a ski.

Prost Haus is the fourth venture on the Granville Strip by the MRG Group, joining the aforementioned Dublin Calling, the Yale Saloon, and the Vogue Theatre.
