Stanley Park, affectionately known as the backyard of many Vancouverites, will soon be getting a new dining spot and watering hole.

It has been a long time coming, but the Stanley Park Brewing Restaurant and Brewpub (8901 Stanley Park Drive) will officially open its doors on July 29 after years of construction and opposition.

Situated in a 10,600-square-foot space formerly occupied by the iconic Fish House restaurant, Stanley Park Brewing Co.’s new flagship location will be able to accommodate 140 guests inside, and an additional 90 on its outdoor deck and patio.

The massive establishment has partnered with the Joseph Richard Group to craft a west coast-style menu, which will complement its libation offerings.

16 beer taps will be available.

The focal point of the whole thing will arguably be the beer, and 16 beer taps that highlight all of Stanley Park Brewing’s current line-up and small batch brews will be available.

Guests can expect a park-inspired interior space, complete with a 32-foot log bar, twig wall, and many wooden elements painted a dark green hue as an ode to the surrounding trees.

“We are thrilled to be introducing our new Restaurant & Brewpub into Stanley Park. Our concept celebrates the spirit of the park and will offer with high-quality good food and beverage options,” Doug Devlin, general manager of Stanley Park Brewing Co., said in a press statement. “We’re hoping that will allow us to attract new visitors to the park, all while being consistent with the integrity and lifestyle of the park and the historic landmark.”
