Is In-N-Out the world's best hamburger? Metro Vancouver residents can take a bite next month

The planet's tastiest hamburger is a debate that can turn brother against brother.

My all-time personal favourite is White Spot’s B.C. Burger. It was officially discontinued years ago. But you can still order it off-menu if your server is old enough to remember it.

One all-beef patty that quickly comes up in discussions of the world’s best is In-N-Out’s.

Family-owned and operated since its founding in Baldwin Park, California, in 1948, the chain of semi-fast-food restaurants has only expanded into five additional states.

The In-N-Out restaurant closest to Vancouver, located in Grant Pass, Oregon, is a 10-hour drive from B.C.’s southern border. And so it’s not often that most Lower Mainland residents get the opportunity to enjoy the Snyder family’s food.

      Until next month, that is.

For one day only, on September 7, the Langley Good Times Cruise-In Society is bringing In-N-Out to its annual car show in Aldergrove.

“In -N-Out Burger will be located in the Re/Max parking lot at 26641 Fraser Hwy in Aldergrove. Ticket sales start at 8am on Saturday September 7th,” am event Facebook post reads. “Burger, chips and drink 10.00 limit 4 per person. All proceeds go to the Langley Cruise In charities. Thank you In-N-Out!””

The Langley Good Times Cruise-In was founded in 1997 and has gone on to become one of the largest automotive shows in Canada. Pre-registration for this year’s event is open until September 4.
