Vancouver’s popular Belgian-inspired dining establishment, Chambar (568 Beatty Street), will be celebrating a milestone in tasty fashion.

To mark its 15th anniversary, the restaurant will be hosting a free block party outside its Crosstown location, which will feature live entertainment and an outdoor pig roast on Sunday (September 8).

But the star of the show will be its waffle giveaway—1,500 waffles to be exact. Beginning at 2 p.m., guests will be able to get their hands on this dessert while quantities last.

In addition to hosting a free public event, Chambar will also be offering a special anniversary menu from September 15 to 30.

The four-course meal will feature the restaurant’s most iconic dishes over the last decade-and-a-half, including Lapin à la Moutarde (sherry-braised rabbit cannelloni with pistachios and dates), Waterzooi à Ma Façon (prawns, mussels, lingcod, calamari, and black Thai rice), and Bison et Choron (char-grilled bison flat iron with crisp chorizo and fingerling potatoes).

From September 15 to January 1, 2020, the eatery will also be bringing back a classic cocktail from its archives each week for 15 weeks.

As they always say, there’s no better way to celebrate a special occasion than with great food and drink.
