The city’s best bartenders and mixologists will once again converge at Science World for the educational center’s annual booze-filled fundraiser, Science of Cocktails, on February 6, 2020.

More than 30 cocktail stations will be set up, each with a scientific element that incorporates some form of chemistry, physics, and biology that never fails to be crowd-pleasers.

Besides roaming through a gigantic open bar, savoury bites will be created by chefs from local restaurants. Ticket-holders will also be able to check out demonstrations, science activities, and special programming for the one-night event.

All proceeds from Science of Cocktails go directly toward its class field trip bursary program, which allows students from underserved schools in Metro Vancouver to visit the interactive, kid-friendly museum.

The popular fundraiser has raised $943,000 for the program over the past four years, and aims to add enough to surpass the $1 million mark in its fifth edition.

Tickets ($165 to $289 per person) come with a charitable tax receipt and can be purchased online.

Engaging demonstrations will take place throughout the night.
