A global furniture giant will be ringing in the Year of the Rat by offering a sweet dim-sum deal this week.
IKEA Richmond (3320 Jacombs Road) is celebrating Lunar New Year in tasty fashion once again, serving up a dim-sum combo meal for $13.88.
Available at its in-house restaurant, guests can expect to find items like barbecue pork bun, siu mai (pork dumplings), vegetarian spring rolls, pork sticky rice, and sweets like Daim cake and pear cider.
If dim-sum isn’t for you, try its braised beef stew for the same price, which also comes with the chocolate Daim cake and pear cider.
Besides festive foods, IKEA will also be celebrating Lunar New Year a week early with a traditional lion dance on January 18 (1 p.m.) at both the Richmond and Coquitlam locations. A dotting of the eyes ceremony and a lucky tour around the stores will follow shortly after.
IKEA also rolled out a special Lunar New Year collection this season, named Solglimtar. The limited edition drop features everything from tablecloths to a Chinese New Year candy box, and from Chinese-style cushions to lighting, and more.
