Update: Deep Cove Brewers and Distillers announced today (July 18), that its grand opening will be delayed to August 23.

As the craft beer scene continues to grow locally, a new brewery is about to open in Metro Vancouver.

Deep Cove Brewers and Distillers is set to open the doors to its new 8,000 hectolitre brewery this Friday (July 19) on the North Shore. The brewery is owned and operated by former engineers Shae De Jaray and Shawn Bethuney, with Kevin Emms, formerly of Coal Harbour brewing, as head brewer.

On opening day, there will be live entertainment, tastings, and tours from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Growlers will be available for purchase and to fill in the tasting room.

Deep Cove's first year-round releases consist of Loud Mouth Pale Ale, Wise Crack West Coast Lager, and Quick Wit Belgian-style Wheat Ale. The brewery's first seasonal is a Green Rooibos Tea Saison.

The brewery is located at Unit 170–2270 Dollarton Highway, North Vancouver.
