St. Patrick’s Day is fast approaching, but that doesn’t have to mean dubiously dyed beer. Next Saturday (March 14), you can get in the spirit with an array of golden-brown brews at a Vancouver Craft Beer Week event called A Very VCBW Celebration of Questionable Irish Heritage.

The evening is presented by the Gastown Beer Society and the Lamplighter Public House, and it involves beer samples from over 25 craft breweries and live music featuring Irish party classics.

It all starts at 6 p.m. at the Maritime Labour Centre (1880 Triumph Street); $49 tickets (plus service charge) include drinks. Buy them through the Vancouver Craft Beer website.
