Passions 2013 fundraises for Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation through food and wine

      The 10th annual Passions fundraiser benefiting the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation takes place September 15 at the Dr. Peter Centre (1110 Comox Street). The gala event features tasting plates created by 24 restaurants and food-related businesses from across the Lower Mainland, New Zealand wines, craft cocktails, entertainment, and both a live and silent auction.

      This year, food will be provided by Beaucoup Bakery, Bittered Sling, Burdock & Co., Chambar, CinCin, Coast, Crave on Main, Espana, the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, Forage, Fraîche, Joe Fortes, Le Gavroche, Le Parisien, Maenam, MARKET by Jean-Georges, Miku/Minami, MIX the Bakery, the Observatory, Oru, Provence, Tojo’s, Urban Fare, and West. Dishes will range from meat and seafood, to vegetarian options, and dessert.

      Tickets to Passions are $225 to $300 and can be purchased online or by calling 604-331-5086.

      Passions has raised more than $800,000 for the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation, a Vancouver-based non-profit organization that provides comfort care and resources for people living with HIV/AIDS.
