Tickets for the 6th Annual BC Beer Awards & Festival will go on sale tomorrow (August 26). While the October 24 event is still a season away, tickets could sell out well in advance, if last year is any indication.

The Saturday consumer tasting event takes place from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Croatian Cultural Centre (3250 Commercial Drive). It brings together over 50 B.C. breweries and cideries and also features the BC Beer Awards ceremony hosted by CBC’s Stephen Quinn. 

According to a news release, the craft beer community has dubbed 2015 the Year of the Sour Beer and BC brewers have been challenged to come up with something on that theme.

Early bird tickets go on sale August 26 at 10 a.m. for $30 each (plus taxes and fees). Admission includes a tasting glass and four drink tokens. 

Early-bird pricing runs until September 30; on October 1 the price goes up to $35. Last year, tickets sold out during the early-bird period.
