Brix & Mortar: Yaletown’s iconic dining spot and downstairs lounge merge as one

Formerly known separately as Brix Restaurant & Wine Bar and cocktail lounge George, the dining spot and lounge have united as a single concept: Brix & Mortar.

The renovated space occupies 5,200 square feet and features a new fine-dining room, but Brix’s well-known and well-loved outdoor courtyard remains unchanged.

Executive Chef Chris Bisaro presents a revamped food and drink menu that will serve items featuring modern Canadian cuisine with hints of French, Italian, and Asian influences.

A three-course Table d’Hote menu priced at $42 offers a selection of dishes that include Pickled Pineapple Pork Belly and Lamb Shank and Risotto Bianco. Snacks and sides start at $9 and include Truffled Kohlrabi and Orange and Candied Bacon.

Bar manager Chris Mosey brings inspiration from his world travels to the cocktail menu, such as Big Flavours in Little China which is served in a take-away rice carton. Brix's award-winning wine list sees some new additions, but maintains their reowned wine by the glass program.

Brix & Mortar will be participating in the 11th Annual Taste of Yaletown this year that takes place from October 15 to October 29.
