The 31st Annual JCC Jewish Book Festival took place over the past week and brought together celebrated authors from across Canada, the U.S., and Israel.

The festival hosted meet-the-author opportunities, readings and panel discussions, writing workshops, and two onsite bookstores selling both new and used books.

Tonight (November 26) is the closing night, and the cultural extravaganza is ending on a food note with restaurateur and entrepreneur Ruth Tal sharing over 200 delicious recipes from her new book SuperFresh.

Tal has been using whole, natural ingredients to create craveable and vibrant vegan meals, juices, and smoothies for nearly two decades.

She will share their plant-based recipes at tonight’s event at the Jewish Community Centre (950 West 41st Avenue) hosted by famed cookbook writer and owner of the Lazy Gourmet Susan Mendelson.

Tickets ($24) include a food reception and can be purchased online.
