Tickets are now on sale for one of Metro Vancouver’s most beautiful outdoor culinary evenings: BEST of the WEST. It's part of the North Shore's Harmony Arts Festival, which starts on August 1 and runs for 10 days near the water in West Vancouver.

The August 6 BEST of the WEST event brings together 12 North Shore restaurants and 12 B.C. wineries on picturesque Ambleside Pier. Participants include La Regalade, Zen Japanese Restaurant, and Pier 7 Restauarant and Bar. One the wine side, there's Laughing Stock Vineyards, Burrowing Owl, Poplar Grove, and more.

Those in attendance can vote on the best food-and-wine pairing. In addition, there will be two more tasting stations: one from Naramata Bench Wineries Association and a second offering oysters from Rodney’s Oyster House.

Tickets ($105 each) will sell out quickly; get them here or at 1-866-514-5050.

For a more casual experience, the festival also offers plenty of non-ticketed dining options, some of which are new to the party this year.

These include the licensed Park Royal Beachside Patio that seats 60, located on the west side of Millennium Park (between 15th and 16th Street on Argyle Avenue.) For the duration of the festival, it will serve food from Glowbal Group’s the Fish Shack pop-up restaurant, such as freshly shucked oysters, halibut and salmon fish & chips, seafood tacos, halibut ceviche, and clam chowder bread bowls. There will also be wine on offer. The space will also host a contemporary art installation curated by the West Vancouver Museum.

The Waterfront Lounge will also be serving food and beverages in Millennium Park at the foot of 15th street, with offerings from Caffe al Mercato

As well, from August 5 to 7, the centre of the festival at Argyle Avenue will feature the Art of Food, with over 35 culinary-focused booths with offerings from restaurants, food vendors, and wine and craft beer purveyors.

Check the fest's website for a complete list of culinary options.
