If you don't know what bubble tea is, you're missing out.

The Taiwanese tea-based drink comes in an array of flavours and combinations, which range from classic milk tea to mango smoothie to red bean matcha milk tea with grass jelly.

What makes these drinks special is the addition of tapioca balls, also known as "pearls" or boba. The starch-based dessert is chewy and sweet, elevating the experience of the Asian-originated drink.

Here are five places to find great bubble tea around town.
