Very soon, craft-beer lovers will be able to get their hands on Stone Brewing Co.'s beers with ease in Vancouver. 

The San Diego-based brewing company is starting distribution in B.C. and Alberta under its wholesale partner Horizon Beers. The products will be launched in bars, restaurants, and retail outlets with a series of beer-pairing events starting October 20.

According to a news release, six year-round Stone beers (as below), will be offered in B.C. and Alberta, as well as various special releases.

• Stone IPA – a classic West-Coast style IPA
• Stone Go To IPA – a big-character session IPA
• Stone Ruination IPA – a flavorful and bitter double IPA
• Stone Cali-Belgique IPA – an aromatic Belgian IPA
• Stone Smoked Porter – a rich porter with light smoky overtones
• Arrogant Bastard Ale - an "agressive" strong ale

Four Vancouver events are in the works.

On October 20, there will be an official launch party and tap takeover at CRAFT Beer Market from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. with brewer Steve Gonzalez on hand. CRAFT Beer Market will have 15 Stone beers on tap for that one evening only, including many special releases.

On October 22, The Blackbird Public House & Oyster Bar will host a three-course Stone beer-pairing dinner featuring oyster and tapas dishes. Beer-pairings will be Stone Ruination IPA, Stone IPA, Stone Go To IPA, Stone Coffee Milk Stout, and Arrogant Bastard Ale. Tickets and info is available at 604-899-4456. 

On October 23, BierCraft Bistro will host a three-course food and beer dinner. Dishes will be paired with Stone IPA, Stone Ruination IPA, Stone Go To IPA, Stone Coffee Milk Stout, and Arrogant Bastard Ale. Tickets are $30 via 604-874-6900. 

And finally, on October 24, Stateside Craft is holding a party with Stone representatives pouring samples of Stone Ruination IPA, Stone IPA, Stone Go To IPA, Stone Coffee Milk Stout, and Arrogant Bastard Ale. For information, call 604-620-0048.
