Vij’s Rangoli has opened up its new location (1480 West 11^th Avenue) right beside its previous digs, which also happens to be the former home of Vij’s restaurant.

The new spot moves away from its previous concept of “market” fare, and includes more seating space and extended opening hours.

“This is an updated, slightly bigger, yet more intimate Rangoli,” said Meeru Dhalwala, co-owner, Chef and head of the kitchen at Rangoli, in a press statement. “We are keeping the menu items our customers know, but we are going to have an extended late night bar menu to complement our later hours.”

The revamped South Granville establishment will now open until 1 or 2 a.m. on every night, and will offer a special beer, wine, and cocktail menu.

A new late-night samosa menu has also been created to accompany the extended hours, including flavours such as kale and jackfruit, chickpea and lentil, beef short rib, spicy lamb, and more.
